Really! Believe me!! i'm not kidding you and not trying to fool you.

However, the makers of this newest member of the evergrowing Smitfraud-family seems to want to ....

They simply took the SpywareQuake-programfiles, changed the name of the scanner to VirusBurst and ..... PRESTO-CHANGO ...
A brand-new fake scanner to rip people off.

As a programmer, in real life, i really wonder how long it took them to make the changes .... my guess would be about one man-hour and  then one more to check if everything is in order.

And guess what ... even the checking didn't go very well!
Please feast your eye on the EULA, wich, allthough it says VirusBurst at the top, clearly is the EULA of SpywareQuake.

And if that isn't enough, then please bring up my sceenshots-page of SpywareQuake and compare it with this one ;-)


Oh well, i already said enough .... and wasted too much time on this one!
I'll go back to the real important stuff, like hunting real malware and real Rogue Scanner.


But ............... I'll be back in about 2 or 3 weeks. When they dump a successor for this dead dog on the net.
I really hope they'll do a better job and give us someting to investigate and maybe even worry about *lol*
