Castlecops
is starting a new antimalware initiative called MIRT
(Malware Incident Reporting and Termination).
It is similar to the already successful PIRT
(Phishing Incident Reporting and Termination) project.
The goal of MIRT will be to collect malware samples, test them against
antimalware applications and then distribute them to the vendors that
missed them.
There will also be a parallel organized effort to take the offending
sites and/or pages down, while reporting them in detail to the
authorities.
We also need your help in spreading the word . Tell all of your friends
and (with forum admin permission) re-post this announcement around the
web.
With your help we can make life hard for those who write malware and
take another piece of our internet back.
